| 1. Coil the piper cleaner around the pencil. You will make approximately 3-4 coils. | |
| 2. Loop the top of the pipe cleaner down making a head. There should be about an inch between where the coils stop and the head of your turtle. Cut the excess to make four turtle legs. | |
| 3. Cut out two circles to make your turtle shell. Adjust the size to fit between the head and the pipe cleaner coils where the turtle tail would go. | |

| 4. Cut out two circles to make your turtle shell. Adjust the size to fit between the head and the pipe cleaner coils where the turtle tail would go. | |
| 5. Lay one of the circles down and glue gems to it to decorate your turtle shell. | |
| 6. Cut your excess pipe cleaner into four pieces and glue them to the second green circle as turtle legs using the tacky glue. | |
| 7. Put the pencil into the pipe cleaner coil to keep its shape for the final step. | |
| 8. Add tacky glue to the center of the turtle body and glue the two circle to it like a sandwich. Lay a book on top to push everything in place until it dries. | |
| 9. Now you have made a turtle pencil topper craft that you can add life to your boring old school pencils. | |
