Princess And The Frog Valentine Mailbox

The Princess and the Frog Disney story can come to life on Valentines Day by making your own princess and the frog valentine mailbox. Use Disney princess coloring pages to make Princess Tiana. The valentine mailbox resembles her red flowing dress.

Materials Needed

1. Princess Tiana Coloring page found at Princess Coloring Pages

2. Large recycled cereal box

3. Recycled 2 liter bottle of soda (large enough to fill with valentines)

4. Red tissue paper

5. Red sparkly paper ( we bought it at Walmart)

6. Black yarn (for making Tiana head piece)

7. Construction paper (Green for the frog)

8. Magic markers (coloring in Tiana skin, hair, and eyes)

9. Glue

10. Scissors

11. Masking tape (strapping Tiana to the valentine mailbox)

Instructions

1. Cut the top off of your valentine mailbox. Make it deep enough to fill it with your valentines.

2. Wrap the bottom half with red tissue paper to make it look like a red flowing dress for Princess Tiana to go to a Valentine ball with her frog prince.

3. Print the head shot of Princess Tiana from Princess Coloring Pages.

4. Cut one of the sides out of a recycled cereal box and glue the coloring page to it.

5. Using magic markers color in Princess Tiana skin, hair, and eyes. We used green for the eyes since she is usually wearing green.

6. For Princess Tiana dress : Cut out strips of red tissue paper and fold them into tear shapes and glue them to the coloring page. Do not apply glue to the top part, so it puffs out.

7. Princess Tiana Head piece : Cut out tear shaped pieces from the red tissue paper and glue them to the head pieces on the coloring page.

8. Cut a strip of black yarn and glue strips using tacky glue where the lines are on the head piece.

9. Using the red sparkly sticker paper, cut out a curved strip for the bottom of the head piece. Then cut out small circles for the top pieces.

10. Using the sparkly red sticker paper - add an earring and a heart necklace for Princess Tiana.

11. The frog - we cut out four pieces of construction paper the head, body, and two curved legs, then glued them together.

12. With sparkly red sticker paper - make a bow tie, two heart eyes, and a heart tummy for your frog prince.

13. Glue your frog prince to the front of the Valentine mailbox.

14. Now you have an amazing valentine mailbox that is a tribute to Disney Princess and the Frog!
