Fourth of July Marble Run

Have a fun on the Fourth of July making crafts like this wild and lively marble run! Find what you need to make this whacky marble run with recycled craft materials found around the house.

Materials Needed

1. Empty paper towel tubes (2)

2. Empty toilet paper tubes - about 8-10

3. Empty recycled cereal box

4. Wrapping paper (Red, White, or Blue)

5. Chenille stems (Red, White, Blue) - 6 of each

6. Scotch tape

7. Scissors

8. Glue

9. Marbles

10. Paint or crayons to color your tubes.

Instructions

1. Wrap your recycled cereal box like a present.

2. Cut your toilet paper holders down the middle, so it opens.

3. Cut the toilet paper tubes the other direction.

4. Roll the tubes back together and glue them shut, so you have smaller, shorter tubes. You will need four.

5. Color your tiny toilet paper tubes red white and blue.

6. Color your tiny toilet paper tubes red white and blue.

7. Cut holes into your paper towel tubes, so that you have the openings for your marble run.

8. Wrap your paper towel tubes with wrapping paper and tape them together. Cut through the wrapping paper to let your holes open.

9. Using the rest of your toilet paper holders make the ramps that your marble will run down. The curved cardboards make them perfect. Color them also.

10. Connect the tubes and ramps together, then insert them into the paper towel tubes. Make two downward ramps.

11. Tape the paper towel tubes to the front of your cereal box. Connect your ramps to one of the tubes, then connect the other tube.

12. Make the paper towel tubes look like firecrackers by interlocking three (red, white, and blue) sparkley chenille stems together. Then tape them to the top inside of each paper towel tube.

13. Wrap the chenille stems around the mini tubes also for more embellishments.

14. Now you should have a Fourth of July Marble Run that will be the best craft the kids will make!
