Sunflower Bridal Shower Card

Make a paper sunflower as the centerpiece for a Summertime bridal shower or wedding card. The bride will be touched by this easy to make homemade card that can serve as a keepsake.

Materials Needed

1. Card stock or blank white folded card

2. Tissue paper - yellow

3. Yarn - Green for the sunflower stem on your bridal shower card

4. Construction paper - black and brown

5. Green bubble paint

6. Plastic cup to trace a large circle

7. Scissors

8. Tooth pick

9. Glue

Instructions

1. Draw a large circle using the top opening of your plastic cut on two sheets yellow tissue paper. Cut out the circles.

2. Fold the circle in half four to six times. With the rectangle cut a petal like shape into the rectangle. Unfold the paper to see your sunflower.

3. Overlap the yellow tissue paper circles and glue them together.

4. Using fast drying tacky glue, make two parrall lines from the top left quadrant of your card to the bottom right quadrant. Lay two strands of green yarn down on the glue lines.

5. Add glue to the back center circle of your yellow tissue paper flower and glue it to the top of the green yarn stem.

6. Use a basic salt shaker to trace a large circle out of black paper. Cut it out and glue it to the center of your yellow flower.

7. To make the paper sunflower seeds - Cut out long thin strips of paper, about a quarter inch thick and 4 inches long. Roll them with the toothpick. Add glue to your flower top and push the coil down and hold in place until dry.

8. You may have to add a dap of glue to the end piece to keep it intact. Repeat as many times to fill the center up with sunflower seeds.

9. With bubble paint add the saying - Your Love Is In Bloom.

10. Now you have a memorable sunflower bridal shower card that will surely become a keepsake for any bride!
