Nurse Easter Egg Art

An Easter Egg for the Nurses! Here is an easter egg decorating design that turns a simple egg into a nurse by making a nurse hat and uniform using tissue paper, paint, glue, yarn.

Materials Needed

1. Large hard boiled egg

2. Orange easter egg paint

3. Tissue paper - White, Blue, and Red

4. Glue

5. Scissors

6. Funny eyes

7. Yarn - We used yellow for blonde hair and a red yarn to make a bow in front of the nurse apron.

Instructions

1. Hard boil your egg and let it cool and dry.

2. Paint the top half of you easter egg to make the skin for the head of your easter egg nurse.

3. Cut out a stip of blue tissue paper to make the nurse shirt. Make sure it wraps around the entire egg and will over lap where the orange paint stops.

4. Cut a tiny triangle in the top where the front of your nurse shirt will open. Fold back two flaps from the triangle cutout. Paste the nurse shirt to your Easter egg.

5. Cut out a square from the white tissue paper to make the front top panel of your nurse apron. You may want to glue multiple sheets of white tisse paper together, so that the blue shirt does not show through.

6. To make your nurse hair : Cut out multiple strips of yellow yarn. Using fast drying tacky glue, glue the strands to the top of the head, letting the blond strands flow down from the top of the head.

7. For the nurse face : glue funny eyes and use a marker to draw eye lashes, nose and mouth on your egg head.

8. For the skirt, cut out a 2 inch thick strip of white tissue paper. Line the strip with a small layer of red tissue paper. Then ruffle the nurse skirt around the body of the egg. Make a line of glue, the follow it and fold over every half inch. Th

9. Make a nurse hat. Cut out a strip of white tissue paper that fits around your egg. Fold it over and glue it together. Cut away half of the thickness from each side, so the center stands out. Fold down the corners of the center piece and glue them

10. Glue two crossing strips of red tissue paper to the main part of the hat. Glue the nurse hat around the head of your nurse Easter egg.

11. Finish off your nurse apron. Cut two strips of white tissue paper for the straps of your nurse apron and glue it in place.

12. Tie the red yarn into a bow and glue it to the waistline of your nurse frock.

13. Now you have your very own Easter egg nurse to share with friends, family and coworkers at the hospital!
