    Sunflower Flower Girl Basket

Save money and follow these easy steps to make your own flower girl basket filled with sunflowers and daisies. We used white satin ribbon to accent the sunflowers and daisy combo for a unique easy to make summer time wedding flower girl basket.
    Time to Complete : < 30 minutes
    Difficulty : Easy
Submitted By : Crafty Shops Creative Staff
    Materials Needed
    1. Small wooden basket with handle - Make sure your basket is comparable to the height of your flower girl.
    2. Two medium sized sunflowers - Real or Silk with the stems still attached
    3. A bunch of daisies
    4. Green flower sponge - flat and fits into the bottom layer of your basket. You will poke your daisies into it. When lightly filled with water will help keep your real flowers fresh.
    5. 1 inch wide satin ribbon - Long enough to wrap your flower basket handle and cover the outside brim of the flower girl basket
    6. Hot glue gun with glue stix
    7. Crafting scissors that cut cleanly through the satin ribbon
    8. Plyers - if cutting through wired silk flower stems or flower cutting scissors if using real sunflowers and daisies

    Instructions
    1. Wrap your flower girl basket handle with the 1 inch wide satin ribbon. Make a diagnonal overlapping pattern. Use the glue gun to make the satin become permanently part of the handle.
    2. Use the satin ribbon to cover the outside rim of the flower girl basket. Use the hot glue gun to permanently affix the ribbon in place.
    3. Use your thick white satin ribbon to tie a simple flowing bow. Add a tab of glue to the back of the center of the bow and affix it to where the handle meets the main part of the flower girl basket. Repeat of the opposite side.
    4. Lay your green flower sponge inside the bottom part of your flower girl basket.
    5. Cut your daisies to the appropriate stem sizes, so that they fill out the center and sizes of the flower girl basket. Poke the stems into the green flower sponge.
    6. Take two medium sized sunflowers and drape them over the opposites sides of the handle facing away from how your flower girl will hold the basket.
    7. For silk flowers, Add a dab of hot glue to the bottom back of the sunflowers to permanently attach the sunflowers to the desired place on your flower girl basket.
    8. Now you have a basic and easy to make flower girl basket using sunflowers and daisies that is a great idea for any summer time wedding!
