    Hand Warmer Valentine

How to sew an easy to make hand warmer valentine that will fit in your loved ones pocket and keep them warm with love. Just sew rice inside a felt pouch decorated with a pink heart. After you microwave the warm pocket heart, the heat will remain for over 30 minutes!
    Time to Complete : < 30 minutes
    Difficulty : Easy
Submitted By : Crafty Shops Creative Staff
    Materials Needed
    1. Red and Pink Felt
    2. Sewing needle and thread
    3. Scissors used for cutting into material
    4. Stick pin
    5. 4-5 spoonfuls of rice per hand warmer
    6. Microwave oven
    7. Table spoon

    Instructions
    1. Cut out a two 4 X 2 inch rectangles with your red felt. Make the rectangles bigger if you want to make a larger hand warmer.
    2. Fold your piece of pink felt in half and cut out a heart that is smaller in dimensions to the red rectangles of felt you cut out previously.
    3. Using your stickpin, fix the pink heart to one of the pieces of red felt. Then embroider the hear to the red felt. You may want to decorate your heart with lace or embroidery -- such as writing Be My Valentine into it.
    4. Lay the two good sides of red felt against each other and sew three of the four sides together.
    5. Flip the good sides out., so that your heart is facing the outside of your hand warmer pouch.
    6. Using a spoon fill the heart hand warmer pouch up with rice.
    7. Sew the fourth side together.
    8. Put your heart warmer valentine into a microwave oven. Cook it on medium temperature for about 30 seconds. When you remove it, it will be warm and should remain warm for about 30 minutes or more.
    9. Now you have made a Hand Warmer Valentine that will offer a warm heart (made from the heart) to your special someone on Valentines Day!
