    Oragami Paper Turtle

Make a cute little box turtle out of paper using oragami paper folding techniques. All you need is some paper, scissors, glue, and your imagination. This is a great paper turtle craft to make a creative greeting card as well!
    Time to Complete : < 30 minutes
    Difficulty : Easy
Submitted By : Crafty Shops Creative Staff
    Materials Needed
    1. Paper - best with oragami paper, but can be any type of semi stiff paper like construction paper (Green and Brown)
    2. Glue
    3. Tape
    4. Black marker
    5. Funny eyes

    Instructions
    1. Take a square piece of green paper, fold it in half to make a triangle. Then fold the bottom ends in to make a square.
    2. Lay the square flat, so that the side that the two ends came together is facing up.
    3. Fold the bottom two front flaps up to make the front legs.
    4. Make flaps like the top out of the opposing side by cutting them out. Then fold them as well.
    5. Now you have a square that has four feet slightly peaking out.
    6. Fold the top square in to make the shell. Folding them in will make the head and all four legs more visible.
    7. You may want to tape the bottom pieces together, so that the oragami turtle maintains his paper shape.
    8. Add funny eyes to the turtle head.
    9. Using a marker, add claws to the little paper turtle feet.
    10. To decorate the turtle shell -- we cut out and glued pieces of brown paper like a mosaic, but you can also use the finger prints of your child to make a cute touch.
    11. Now you have a oragami paper turtle that you can enjoy or even add to a greeting card.
