Butterfly Bows Flower Girl Basket

Make large fluffy butterflies using crafting ribbon and decorate a spring time flower girl basket. All you need to make this handmade butterfly flower girl basket idea : is the basket, crafting ribbon, colorful pipe cleaners and hot glue. Any sweet little flowr girl will love spreading flowers held in this butterfly cute basket.

Materials Needed

1. Small flower girl basket (white or brown wicker)

2. Thick decorative craft ribbon - we chose purple, but pick the colors of your wedding

3. Pipe cleaners - traditional black or a complimentary color to your wedding colors.

4. Glue and hot glue gun

5. Other decorative accents - like flowers and netting

Instructions

1. Wrap the decorative ribbon around the handle of your flower girl basket.

2. Wrap a bow around the base of a handle.

3. Take the bottom free ends of the bow and tuck them into the bow making the bottom pair of wings for your butterflies.

4. String a pipe cleaner through the top base of the bow and coil to form the antenae of the butterfly.

5. Affix the butterfly to the basket tightly with your glue.

6. Repeat with a butterfly on the opposing handle of your flower girl basket.

7. Add elegant accents to your flower girl basket by lining it with netting and adorning it with silk flowers around the rim of your flower girl basket.

8. Now you have an elegant spring time flower girl basket decorated with butterfly bows. Your wedding guests will be in awe at this flower girl basket craft.
