Wrapped Presents Christmas Wreath

Greet your Christmas time guests at your front door by making a handmade wrapped presents Christmas wreath. All you need is a wreath, wrapping paper, cardboard, bows, tape, and green yarn. Making your own Christmas wreath starts off the holiday season with the right touch!

Materials Needed

1. Large Christmas wreath - you can buy them at any supply store during the season.

2. Wrapping paper - We used a metalic blue. You may want something flashy that will stand out against a dark green fur wreath background.

3. Cardboard - We used cardboard from a discarded cereal box

4. Green yarn - dark green to match the color of your wreath

5. Scotch tape

6. Ruler for measuring even squares for your the shape of your presents.

7. Pen or pencil

8. Scissors

9. Ribbon - Large ribbon for making a bow / small ribbon to add the finishing touches to your wrapped presents.

10. Small decorative present wrapping bows.

Instructions

1. Use your ruler to measure a square box top onto a piece of cardboard. We made 2.5" X 2.5" squares. Make one and then lay it on your wreath to compare and decide what size presents you would like to make.

2. Cut out five of these squares or present toppers.

3. Cut out 5 strings of green yarn approximately 12 inches long.

4. Measure and cut out pieces of wrapping paper that are approximately 1 inch larger on each side than your cardboard square.

5. First lay the wrapping paper with the good face down, then lay your green yarn in the middle, then lay your cardboard piece on the very top.

6. Fold the extra ends of wrapping paper in and tape them in place. Now you should have a wrapped piece of cardboard with two strands of green yarn hanging out like arms.

7. Glue ribbon on top of your wrapped squares like you would a Christmas present.

8. Lay your 5 wrapped present squares on top of your wreath. Leave room for affixing a large bow at the bottom. We laid a present at the very top and then two spaced out on the sides of the Christmas wreath.

9. Turn your wreath over and tie your presents to the wreath. Cut the access green strands after you have tied all of your presents to the wreath.

10. Cut out and wrapp a large bow with complimenting colors. String a piece of green yarn through the back buckle of the bow. Then tie it to your wreath.

11. Add decorative present bows to your wrapped Christmas presents on your Christmas wreath.

12. Now you have an easy to make Christmas wreath to hang on your front door to greet guests for the holidays.
