Holiday Reindeer Game

Make cute little reindeer like the red nosed Rudolf from egg carton cups and start your own holiday reindeer games. Race your reindeer down a ramp speeding along with marble rolling bottoms. All you need is an egg carton, paints, pipe cleaner for the antlers, funny eyes, and red felt. Marbles are required to make your reindeer mobile!

Materials Needed

1. Egg Carton

2. Acrylic paint (Brown)

3. Red felt scraps - to make the red Rudolf nose

4. Black pipe cleaner - You can make a rainbow of reindeer with different colored antlers too.

5. Glue

6. Scissors

7. Something to poke through the egg carton bottom

8. Large marble

9. Wooden board, or something flat and long to serve as a ramp for your holiday reindeer to race to victory.

Instructions

1. Cut a cup from an empty and clean egg carton.

2. Even out the bottom edges by cutting the longer pieces.

3. Paint your egg carton cup brown. Cover all external sides with the brown paint. Then let it sit to dry.

4. Cut out a small circle from red paper or felt. Glue the nose to the reindeer. A small red pom pom would work as well.

5. Turn your egg carton cup over to view the inside. Take a marker and make two dots where your antlers will peak through the top of the cup.

6. Thread a piece of pipe cleaner through the two holes, so that only one piece is used and the ends are free at the top. Wrap smaller piece of pipe cleaner around the long end pieces and shape your Reindeer antlers.

7. Add the funny eyes and nose to the side that pokes out to form your reindeer faces.

8. Encourage kids to add their own unique style to their reindeer. Be sure to mark the inside with the initials of each little artist.

9. Affix a marble underneath each reindeer. Park your reindeer at the top of a slightly unlevel ramp. Then race them to see which reindeer or artist wins the prize!

10. Now you have a fun holiday reindeer game that will be the hit of any Christmas party!
