Popup Spider With Web Halloween Card

Celebrate the spooky Halloween holiday by making a cute popup spider card with a web made of yarn. This is an easy to make Halloween popup card and craft that sparks creativity and creep crawling interests.

Materials Needed

1. Card Stock or Construction Paper (Orange, Blue, and Black)

2. Black Yarn

3. Tacky Glue

4. Funny eyes (2)

5. Scissors

Instructions

1. Take an 8.5 X 11inch piece of paper and fold it. Then cut it to make a reasonable sized card. Use card stock or paste an orange and blue sheet of paper together.

2. Lay the paper flat with the quadrant of the card that will be the front in view. Draw on that quadrant an a cross with an x through it. Then connect each line to each other with lines that dip to make your guide for the web.

3. Cut a long piece of black yarn, Then trace main center lines with tacky glue. Follow it with laying the yarn down on your tacky glue lines, thus making the base for your spider web.

4. Follow the same pattern for your outer loop. We made the outer loop of our spider web with one piece fo yarn. The inner sections, we cut small pieces and added them separately. Take the time to reposition your yarn to make inward curves because the

5. On black paper, draw a large oval about 2 inches wide. Then draw four thick legs on each side about 2 inches long. Then cut it out.

6. Lay your card flat with the opening facing up. Draw a squiggly line from the top of the card down to the bottom quadrant of your halloween card. Attach a strand of black yarn to your card on top of your gluey line.

7. Fold each spider leg like an accordian, then glue your spider to your card at the base of each turned under leg. Add funny eyes to your spider.

8. Now you have a popup card with a 3D spider web that adds texture and cutenes to your creepy crawly spider Halloween card!
