Kid Long Jump Mat

Instructions for how to make a long jump mat for kids to celebrate the olympic games, learn how to count, and have lively fun with this olympic activity for kids.

Materials Needed

1. Spongy yoga mat

2. Masking tape

3. Measuring stick

4. Construction paper

5. Stencils of numbers

6. Scissors

Instructions

1. Lay your yoga mat out flat.

2. Determine how far you want to place each marker. Then measure the distance and mark each with masking tape as the divider.

3. Use sencils to cut out numbers, then tape the numbers to the yoga mat at each marking.

4. Now you have a soft surface to serve as a long jump measuring device. Small children will love jumping and noting what number they jumped to. Major competitions can be set between siblings and even visiting friends that have similiar jumping skills
