Wedding Card Mailbox

Decorate a wedding card mailbox for the wedding couple and let it serve as a creative way to collect wedding cards from your wedding guests in a mailbox they can use as a forever keepsake to receive mail each day.

Materials Needed

1. Metal mailbox that meets USPS mailbox guidelines.

2. Paint used for metail (base coat, colors for mailbox design)

3. Stencils of a design you choose (if applicable)

4. Pencil for unique artistic design on mailbox

5. Paint brushes

6. Varnish

Instructions

1. Remove any dust or access paint smudges from your wedding mailbox

2. Paint the entire mailbox with a base coat that serves as a good background for your wedding mailbox design.

3. Either use a pencil to sketch your design or apply stencils. We suggest incorporating the last name of the couple into the wedding mailbox design.

4. Apply the same design to both sides of the wedding mailbox.

5. Only add street numbers to the pole that will hold your wedding mailbox, so the wedding couple can take the mailbox with them if they move to another house.

6. Once your wedding card mailbox design is applied, cover the mailbox with varnish to extend the life of your work.

7. Set the mailbox on the table next to the presents with the door hanging open. You may want to add flower peddles around it. Also add some cards to the inside, in case some guests do not understand the purpose of the mailbox.
