| 1. To start making your nurse hat, fold the sheet of white paper horizontally. | |
| 2. From the crease down, fold the paper 1/3 of the way down and smooth crease. | |
| 3. Lay the paper with the folded 1/3 piece face down. | |
| 4. Bend the sides in to make a triangle on each side, leaving about 2 inches untouched across the top. Smooth out creases. This will give you the nurse hat shape. | |
| 5. Add to the shape of the sides by folding the ends in making squares on each side. | |
| 6. Now, if you turn the paper hat around you should see the nurse hat forming from folding the paper. | |
| 7. Add red accents to your nurse hat by cutting a one inch wide strip. Fold the strip in half horizontally and frame the top of the hat brim with the red strip. | |
| 8. Cut out two 1.5 inch long strips of red and glue them to the hat forming the likeness of the Red Cross cross. Make sure that the vertical strip connects the brim of the hat to the main part of the cap. | |
| 9. Either make one hole punch on each end and string a piece of yarn through tie the hat to your head or use bobby pins. | |
| 10. Now you can tend to your patients in style with a traditional nursing cap. | |
