Fourth of July Flag Cup Cake Toppers

Add a creative touch to your Fourth of July party with American flag cup cake toppers.

Materials Needed

Instructions

1. Bake your tastey cup cakes using icing with patriotic colors (Red, White, or Blue)

2. Lay a toothpick down and fold the flag over to fasten the toothpick to your flag like a mini flag pole.

3. Run glue down one of the undecorated sides of your flag. Make sure to put some glue down the crease.

4. Spot the blue section with white dots to resemble starts. Do your best to put 50 in, but you may not have enough room to make it look good with that many stars. Be creative to make it look the best you can make it.

5. Using red colored pencils make 13 stripes filling in the top stripe, the bottom strip and every other strip in between with the color red.

6. Draw a blue square across the fold at the top, so that you have a blue square on the top quadrant on each side that is closest to the fold.

7. Fold the rectangle in half to form a smaller rectangle.

8. Measure and cut out 3 inch by 1 inch rectangles.

9. Prepare your tools for making your flags.

10. Make as many flags as you have cup cakes and have fun celebrating the patriotic holiday.
